April 2016 - Diplomystus Fossil Preparation: This specimen comes from the 18 inch layer of the Green River Formation in Wyoming. Also included are a couple microscope photos to show the bone detail in the fins. The most tedious part to expose was the bony area where the head exploded. Each photo represents about two hours worth of prep work.
